GIS User Interface

RiverFLO-2D uses the well established Argus ONE graphical software (www.argusone.com) as a pre-processor to facilitate data input and display results. Argus ONE provides a user friendly GIS environment, automatically linking the physical data in GIS layers to mesh nodes and elements. Regenerating the computational mesh does not require re-entering the baseline data such as bed elevations, roughness coefficients, or boundary conditions. The software provides a variety of mesh generation options to optimize the mesh creation around complex river features. This enables the model to resolve difficult flow issues in a rapidly varied flow field. Creating a RiverFLO-2D project is relatively easy and straight forward, but more importantly, its robust and stable numerical solution method minimizes tedious debugging model runs saving time and computational resources.
